Giving Thanks!

Tt is for turkey! Our theme for this week and next week is Thanksgiving. We have been super busy getting ready for our feast, singing songs, making crafts, and learning letter Tt words.....like Turkey Tango!  We hope to see many of our families together at our Feast!  Bring your appetite and you will want to bring your camera too!

Announcements & Reminders:
* Mrs. Synek will be the substitute ALL DAY on Monday, Nov. 17th.  Mrs. Kieser will return on Tuesday.

* If your child received Special Education services, you should have received a questionnaire:  ASQ:SE.  Please complete and return it as soon as possible.  If you have questions, let Mrs. Kieser know.

*  Thanksgiving Feast is at 1:00 this Friday, November 21st at the Civic Center.  Please visit the classroom party website to RSVP and sign up to bring something.  Thanksgiving Feast Link here:  www.tinyurl.com/preschoolthanksgiving

* Picture Retake Day is Tuesday, Nov 25th.  If your child was absent the first time, please send in the picture order form.  If you want pictures re-taken, please return the old pictures.  

* Thanksgiving Break:  No School November 26-28th. 

Old MacDonald

Mooove over, the farm animals are coming to preschool. We are continuing our Farm theme from last week.  The preschoolers are having lots of fun learning about farm animals and harvest. This is such a fun unit for kids.  We are singing Old MacDonald Had a Farm and the Farmer in the Dell.  Thanksgiving is right around the corner so we have started learning our songs to sing at The Feast.  Our letter of the week are Cc for cow. We will be making chocolate chip cookies on Wednesday for our first cooking lesson of the year!

This week the children will be doing their chores to help take care of our farm animals using the iPad. A few of our chores include shearing the sheep, washing the picks, hatching the chick eggs, & feeding the cats. What fun!! If you have an iPad or iTouch check out Injini. It is a little pricey but a great APP for preschoolers.

IMPORTANT NOTICES:

* Tues, Nov 11th is Veteran's Day.  Please have your child wear RED, WHITE, or BLUE.

*  Preschool Parent teacher conferences will be rescheduled for after Thanksgiving.  Both conference dates from October and the ones that are scheduled for this Thursday/Friday.  By postponing the conferences, it will give me a chance spend more time in the classroom with your child and allow for a better conference. I apologize for the inconvenience.  A letter will go home next week with the dates for you to select your conference.

*  Thanksgiving Feast is FRIDAY, Nov. 21st.  We will be doing a combined Feast this year. A flyer will be coming home in the next few days.  Families (including grandma and grandpa) are welcome to attend!
